- Abstract
The article focuses on using a neuroscience approach to investigate the spectrum of neuropsychiatric disorders in patients at risk. It states that cognition interacts with emotion to play a major role in those at risk for developing neuropsychiatric disorders and animal models can provide insights into neural mechanisms. It mentions that anxiety and compulsive behaviors is a neuropsychiatric problem in adolescence and change evidence in social cognition was shown in a neuroimaging study.
