- Abstract
The article discusses the editorial stances of the British periodicals the "Quarterly Review" and the "Edinburgh Review" towards the February Revolution of 1848. Particular focus is given to the periodicals' assertions of British superiority and to comparisons between France and Great Britain. Details on the periodicals' opposing political affiliations, with the Whig and Tory Parties respectively, are presented. Topics discussed include democracy and the French revolution of 1830.
