The article discusses the Dickens Journal Online (DJO) project, a project which provides searchable online access to periodicals edited by writer Charles Dickens including "Household Words" and "All the Year Round". Details on the website's interactive featured and on efforts by scholars and appreciators of Dickens' works to correct rough digital transcripts of the periodicals created using optical character recognition (OCR) are presented.
