- Abstract
The article presents information on a study conducted to determine variations in resource utilization for primary repair of cleft lip in the U.S. In the study, patients aged 1 year and younger with cleft lip were selected; and several demographic variables were analyzed, including hospital charges and resource utilization. The study concluded that resource use was higher in the West and in teaching hospitals.
