- Abstract
The article focuses on tension between India and Pakistan, which despite sharing a colonial legacy have since set distinct strategic directions that are conflicting in terms of achieving peace in the region. Topics discussed include reasons they have set out and made their distinct and confrontational ideologic and strategic paths, the more defensive, liberal and cooperation-based policy adopted by Pakistan due to Indian threat and the impact of the rise of the Bharatiya Janata Party.
