IT'S A SIGN….
- Abstract
The article focuses on the International Harvester dealer's sign in commemoration of the introduction of the TD24 crawler tractor in 1947 in the U.S. This example was obtained by National Director Harold Radandt from former I-H dealer Bark River Culvert & Equipment in Green Bay, Wisconsin, for the Museum. Radandt's crew unbolted the sign into three panels, then fabricated a carpet-lined semi-enclosed pallet for its transport. It was then delivered to the Museum on June 26, 2007 and volunteers Mark Steele and Mike Androvich joined Archivist Thomas Berry in unloading and uncrating the sign.
