- Abstract
To investigate the effect of tuna heads enzymatic hydrolysate (EPTH) and its portions of ultrafiltration membrane with molecular weight cut-off (MWCO) of 10,5,3 and 1 kD on mouse spleen lymphocyte proliferation. The lymphocytes were prepared from spleen. The effect of EPTH and its portions on the proliferation of spleen lymphocyte in response to ConA and LPS was detected by MTT. The contents of nitrogen of EPTH and its portions were detected by micro-Kjeldadl. The portion II (10-5 kD) and portion V (<1 kD) significantly stimulated the mouse spleen lymphocyte proliferation with and without conA and LPS, EPTH and portion I (>10 kD), III (5-3 kD), IV (3-1 kD) had no significant stimulated or inhibited effect. The portion II and portion V were rich in. stimulating factures. The protein contents, of portion II and portion V were 38.9%, 5.39% of EPTH respectively.
