- Abstract
The article presents a study which compares the long-term results of non-heart beating donor (NHBD) and heart-beating donor renal transplants. Result shows that delayed graft function was significant higher in the NHBD group. It was then concluded that survival of HND renal transplants was similar to those from HBDs despite on the increased delayed graft function rates and serum creatinine levels, however, there was a trend to poorer function and survival after 10 years of transplantation.
