- Abstract
The author reflects on the idea of launching a peer-reviewed international electronic journal of sociology in Bangladesh. According to the author, the life-spans of academic journals in Bangladesh are very limited. The author explains the importance of publishing a regular journal of sociology, as well as the primary objective of the electronic journal. The important role played by U.S. database company EBSCO in the survival of the journal is also highlighted.
