- Abstract
This article offers a comparison of corruption in Canada and South Korea in terms of social capital. The author describes corruption in Canada as incidental, meaning, it does not interfere with the rational function of legislative, judicial and administrative institutions. In Korea, the author reveals, illegality and irregularities linked with nepotism have been tolerated in the process of rapid economic development. The article also discusses the impacts and effects of corruption.
