- Abstract
The authors discuss the plan of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) to develop uniform and publicly accessible adverse outcome pathways (AOPs) for adverse toxicological outcomes. The authors mention that AOPs will provide a better understanding on how chemicals interact with biological systems, particularly on changes in toxicity markers that affect human and environmental health. They add that AOPs are also essential in understanding germ cell mutagenesis.
