- Abstract
The article presents the text of a speech by Doctor Seiji Yamada, associate professor of complementary and alternative medicine at John A. Burns School of Medicine (JABSOM) at the University of Hawai'i at Manoa in Honolulu, delivered at the White Coat Ceremony for the JABSOM Class of 2013 in 2009. He discussed the role being played by physicians in health and social justice, problem-based learning (PBL) curriculum of JABSOM and victims of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
