- Abstract
The article reports that the U.S. Office of Surface Mining (OSM) has been informed by officials of Indiana and Montana that these states have pulled out themselves of Prime Minister Barack Obama administration's effort to rewrite mountaintop removal mining restrictions. It presents views of U.S. National Mining Association (NMA) President Hal Quinn on OSM's rule regarding protecting streams from mining and waste.
