- Abstract
This article discusses the development of nanodrugs for boron neutron capture therapy (BNCT), a treatment for cancer. The nanodrugs are made up of nanodiamonds and poly(glycerol-co-glyceric acid) conjugated with a boron source and an active targeting moiety. The nanodrugs have shown good anticancer activity when exposed to neutron irradiation. The authors suggest that the negative charge of the boron cluster may facilitate cellular uptake. For more information, readers can refer to the research article by M. Nishikawa, N. Komatsu, and co-workers.
