- Abstract
EACH YEAR STATE ATTORNEYS GENERAL ("AGS") DISCOVER new areas of enforcement, frequently collaborating with other states and the federal government to leverage their resources and achieve favorable investigation and litigation outcomes. As a result, AGs have shifted from primarily pursuing local consumer protection issues and defending state agencies to exploring business practices on a national scale relating to industries heretofore untouched by state regulators. This article examines recent developments in State AG enforcement and continuing trends of AG investigatory and policy activity.
