- Abstract
The article looks at responses to the writings of Danish philosopher Søren Kierkegaard in Romania prior to World War II by philosophers and authors such as E.M. Cioran, Mircea Eliade, and Lucian Blaga. Historical details are provided on the publication and translation of works by Kierkegaard in Romania following World War I. Other members of Romania's literary-philosophical circle discussed in the article include Grigore Popa, Barbu Zevedei, and Nae Ionescu.
