The author reflects on the 5th year editorial team's service and challenges and opportunities of the "American Journal of Hypertension (AJH)." He says that John Laragh wrote in the first issue of the AJH that its primary aim is to serve practitioners and scientists. He states that the AJH publishes articles that ranges from genetics and molecular biology to clinical medicine and epidemiology. He adds that the AJH presents challenges and offers opportunities to readers, reviewers, and authors.
