- Abstract
Emotional competence in teaching is a topic that reveals a lot of interest nowadays, since in addition to being extremely important that teachers feel good about the tasks they are tasked with in terms of work it is also very important that for them to concretize efficiently and feel good on an emotional level. Due to the context of Pandemic by COVID-19 that we are all experiencing, there were several changes that teachers had to adjust to provide a good learning experience for students, which is the reason for this study, so the objective of this investigation is to know the profile of emotional competence of the teachers of the School Groups of the district capital of Bragança in the context of Pandemic by COVID-19, using an anonymous and confidential questionnaire applied to the teachers of the Group of the district capital of Bragança, divided into two parts: a first part, contemplating socio-demographic and professional variables and a second part consisting of the "Veiga Emotional Competence Scale" (EVCE) (Veiga-Branco, 2005, 2011, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018). The results obtained reveal that there is no influence of sociodemographic or professional variables on the teachers' emotional competence profile or dimensions.
