- Abstract
The article presents the case study of the experiences of music and dance of young women who were forced to become sex slaves by Japanese military during the Asia-Pacific War from 1931 to 1945. It discusses the comfort women system wherein around 200,000 women were forced into sexual slavery by the military and affiliated civilians which was overlooked by governments. It details the cases of Yi Yongsu and Mun Okju who are survivors of the sexual slavery system.
