- Title
Evaluation of antineoplastic activity of artemisinin-derived trioxanes in canine tumors.
- Authors
Kenji Hosoya
- Abstract
In this article, the author focuses on the effect of antineoplastic activity of artemisinin-derived trioxanes on canine tumors. He informs that the toxicity effect of trioxanes is minimal on tumors and dihydroartemisinin induces concentration-dependent free radical generation by an iron-dependent mechanism. He also mentions that cytotoxicity of dihydroartemisinin can be enhanced by increasing cellular iron concentration.
