- Abstract
This article in the journal Histopathology examines the recognition of poroid tumors with NUTM1 rearrangements. Poromas are adnexal tumors that can be eccrine or apocrine, and they have different histologic variants. The study aims to identify morphological clues that can distinguish between YAP1:MAML2 and YAP1:NUTM1 fused poroid tumors. The study analyzes clinical, microscopic, and genetic features of the tumors and finds no significant differences in age, sex, or anatomical location between the two groups. The study confirms previous findings of high frequencies of YAP1:NUTM1 fusions in poroid hidradenoma and provides insights into the microscopic features of poroid tumors with different genetic rearrangements.
