- Abstract
The British Nutrition Foundation held a conference on June 26, 2003, to discuss what pre-school children are eating, the implications of this, and also ways of improving dietary intakes and activity levels, especially amongst children from vulnerable groups. Long term health and well being are known to be affected in part by early diet. Consequently, a healthy family lifestyle, including the nurturing of good eating habits, and physical activity, gives children the best start in life, equipping them with the basics for healthy growth and healthy adult life.
