- Abstract
The article focuses on the case report of a patient suffering with haemangio-endotheliomata. A woman sought medical advice for a lesion in the right fronto-parietal region of the scalp. It was a slightly elevated dull bluish-red tumor. Pain was absent. She gave a history of having had sciatica and a commotio cerebri. Six weeks after her admission to the hospital a large number of spontaneous skin haemorrhages appeared on the trunk and legs. In spite of blood transfusions, the patient died on 1955. The histopathological findings in the case support the views of researchers with regard to the diagnosis of the haemangio-endotheliomata and to the origin of the tumor cells and the vascular lumina.
