- Abstract
The processes of regionalization in the context of globalization are analyzed in this theoretical article. There is noted that the research on regionalization processes is an important area of the research on globalization problems and processes in general. The main definitions of the regionalization processes in the context of globalization are described. The main functions of regionalization processes in the context of globalization, as well as the main regional development oriented political and strategy decisions are characterized in the material of this article. The main historical stages of the globalization are defined; the specific aspects of the regionalization processes typical for every historic stage are described. The regionalization processes typical for contemporary society are described, their impact on globalization are characterized in details. The main attention is paid for various controversial processes typical for regional development in the context of globalization. This article is focused on problems and priorities of the activities of the subjects in business and public sectors in the contemporary conditions of globalization as well as of the internationalization processes of political, social, economic and technological development. The main attention is paid to the regionalization processes and to identification and evaluation of the various subject's interests in international activities and of the possibilities to increase activities in different regions, as well as to compare analysis of the different decisions on regional activities, projects and their variants. The conception of multidimensional regionalization is described, the "orbital" model is suggested. The possibilities to use the conception of multidimensional regionalization, as well as to use the "orbital" model in strategic planning of internationalization and regionalization processes are discussed. The perspective ways of scientific research on regionalization processes and regional development in the context of globalization are discussed in the article.
