PRESENÇA DE MICROFILÁRIAS EM ESFREGAÇO SANGUÍNEO DE TRINCA-FERRO (SALTATOR SIMILIS).

- Abstract
As microfilárias são filarídeos em sua fase Larval (L1), podendo ser encontrados na corrente sanguínea do hospedeiro. Os filarídeos, por sua vez, são parasitos nematódeos da família Filarioidea, que se localizam em diferentes órgãos do hospedeiro infectado. Na fotografia acima observa-se duas microfilárias em esfregaço sanguíneo de trinca-ferro (Saltator similis), fêmea, sem idade definida. O animal foi encaminhado para realizar exames de check-up e não apresentava sinais clínicos. Foi realizado o esfregaço sanguíneo de uma amostra de sangue do paciente e depois foi feita a coloração em Panótico®, em seguida foi avaliado sob microscópio óptico para análise das células hematológicas. A partir disso, foi possível visualizar a presença de microfilárias, onde seu gênero não pode ser identificado. As principais espécies que podemos encontrar são os nematódeos Dirofilaria immitis, Dirofilaria repens e Acanthocheilonema reconditum. Já foi descrita na literatura casos de filarioses em humanos, podendo assim se tornar possíveis zoonoses emergentes. Sua transmissão se dá por vetores artrópodes, tais como os mosquitos. Em regiões com predominância de altas temperaturas e umidade, pode-se haver uma incidência maior de casos, visto que tais condições favorecem a reprodução dos vetores. As espécies de filarídeos podem ser de difícil diagnóstico, pois possuem uma morfologia semelhante entre si. A manifestação clínica de aves com esses hemoparasitas costumam apresentar sinais inespecíficos semelhantes a outras enfermidades, ou até mesmo assintomáticos.
