Membrana amniótica liofilizada y regeneración ósea estudio tomográfico e histomorfométrico.

- Abstract
Objetivo: comparar la densidad ósea de defectos óseos tratados con membrana amniótica liofilizada (LAM) y membrana de colágeno (CM), a las tres y cinco semanas. Método: se crearon dos defectos óseos de 4 mm de diámetro y 6 mm de profundidad en la diáfisis femoral distal izquierda de conejos Nueva Zelanda (n = 12). Los animales se dividieron aleatoriamente en dos grupos. Uno de los defectos se cubrió con membrana amniótica liofilizada (Banco de Tejidos Rosa Guerzoni Chambergo/Instituto Nacional de Salud del Niño [IPEN], Lima, Perú) o membrana de colágeno (gold estándar-Dentium Co., Seúl, Corea). El segundo se dejó sin cubrir (NC). Los conejos se sacrificaron después de tres y cinco semanas (tres conejos/periodo). Se extrajo completamente el fémur de cada uno y se procesaron tomográfica (tomografía computarizada Cone Beam) e histomorfométricamente. El análisis de la densidad ósea en las tomografías fue realizado con el programa Sidexis XG (Sirona, Bensheim, Alemania) y el de las secciones histológicas mediante el conteo diferencial de puntos. Los datos se analizaron estadísticamente (Anova, Tukey, p < 0,05). Resultados: los resultados mostraron una alta densidad ósea y reparación del defecto por hueso neoformado. El estudio tomográfico reveló que la densidad ósea de los defectos tratados con LAM a las tres semanas fue equivalente a la densidad obtenida con CM y mayor comparado con la densidad de NC (p < 0,05). A las cinco semanas, la densidad ósea conseguida con LAM fue mayor a la densidad de CM y NC (p < 0,05). El estudio histomorfométrico no mostró diferencias significativas entre LAM y CM a las tres y cinco semanas (p > 0,05). Conclusión: la densidad ósea obtenida en los defectos tratados con LAM mostró resultados tomográficos e histomorfométricos comparables o mayores a la densidad obtenida con CM; y mayores en comparación a la densidad de los defectos controles.
