- Title
The problem of the second wind turbine -- a note on a common but flawed wind power estimation method.
- Authors
Gans, F.; Miller, L. M.; Kleidon, A.
- Abstract
The article discusses a study which presents explanations on the flaws of wind power calculation using wind speeds and wind turbine density and size. The study showed that the methodology is defective since it does not consider the energy removal of the wind turbines which is essential in energy conservation. The study concluded that since energy conservation is important, environmental restraints direct the limit for the availability of wind power.
