Summarizes a study by Agnete Parving, et al, which was performed to describe some aspects of the quality of life in subjects after translabyrinthine removal of an acoustic neuroma, resulting in unilateral total deafness. Finding that deafness, dysequilibrium and reduced facial nerve function caused the most severe problems.
