- Title
Humanized Assignment Feedback.
- Authors
Clobes, Thomas
- Abstract
The article discusses the author's approach to teaching, which focuses on being a student-centered mentor and providing individualized instruction. The author implemented video feedback alongside written feedback to reduce students' negative emotional responses to critical assignment feedback. This approach aimed to create a warm and welcoming environment for students, particularly those from underrepresented groups. The author found that students who received personal feedback improved their performance, although providing video feedback was time-intensive. Despite the challenges, the author plans to continue implementing this approach while finding ways to make it more manageable.
