CHINA-ASEAN Economic Realtionship Burgeoning.
Abstract
The article reports on the close economic relationship between China and ASEAN. As stated, trade between ASEAN and China reached $190 billion in 2007 and is expected to surpass the $200 billion mark by the end of 2008. On November 29, 2004, China and ASEAN signed the Agreement on Trade in Goods (TIG) of the Framework Agreement on Comprehensive Economic Cooperation. Despite of the recession, trade with every member of ASEAN continues to move forward due to recent trade agreements.
