Ranking fourth on the list of the Austrian Home Guard officers who were awarded the Golden Bravery Medal, introduced by the Emperor in 1917, was a Slovenian Pankrac (Pankratz) Cilenšek, a reserve lieutenant of the 26th Styrian rifle regiment. In the article, the author aims to present both the life and the military career of this brave Slovenian officer.
