- Abstract
The article focuses on the decisions of European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) in the cases such as Ali Samatar and Others v. France and Hassan and Others v. France regarding the sea piracy off the coast of Somalia. It mentions that trying of pirates aboard a United Nations (UN) sanctioned vessel with the acts of piracy resulting from an attack on a cruise ships. It also mentions that violation of Article 5 of the European Convention of Human Rights.
