- Abstract
The article offers information about the criminal law of the U.S. It discusses one of the cases State v. Sampson, of the Rhode Island Supreme Court. The court in this case reversed defendant's second degree child abuse conviction after finding that his Sixth Amendment right to counsel had been violated given that his waiver of counsel was not voluntary.
