- Abstract
The author discusses how British laws regarding the copyright of orphan works will affect art-historical publications. The author describes British legislation suggesting that photographic reproductions of art are considered to be works of art and are subject to copyright under EU (European Union) rules. The author discusses implications of digital reproductions of art and suggests that reproduction agencies will not be able to identify the owners of orphan works.
