- Abstract
The article presents a case study of an 83 year old male patient who was diagnosed with syndrome of inappropriate secretion of anti-diuretic hormone (SIADH) in 2009 and was admitted to a hospital in 2012 for a seizure. A discussion of diagnostic testing which was conducted on the patient, and resulted in him being treated with once weekly tolvaptan for chronic symptomatic hyopnatremia caused by a syndrome of inappropriate secretion of anti-diuretic hormone, is presented.
