- Abstract
The article analyzes the dynamics of development in the region of Toulouse, France. A territory is the active combination of three dimensions of proximity, namely geographic, organizational, and institutional. The territory of Toulouse attracts companies in all branches of industry due to advantages such as infrastructure, real-estate and certain subsidies. Toulouse has specialized in aeronautics and space industry by developing businesses around these industries, and it has skills which may be re-deployed outside aeronautics and the space industry.
