- Authors
HALTOM, BILL
- Abstract
The article presents a humorous discussion on American attorneys who wear seersucker suits as of July 2014, focusing on the history of seersucker fashion which apparently originated in British Colonial India. According to the article, seersucker is derived from the Hindi word "shirosheker" which means "milk and sugar." The character Atticus Finch in the 1963 film "To Kill a Mockingbird" is mentioned, along with the Fourth Annual Tennessee Seersucker Flash Mob event on August 29, 2014.
