- Abstract
The article focuses on the Pintail Partners collaborative research effort of scientists, students, and classroom teachers in the U.S. The project is intended to follow female pintal ducks to learn about the decline of the duck population. Students and teachers follow satellite tracking data and interact with scientists via the Internet. In starting this research, fourth-grade students immerse themselves of a sample of pintail ducks and read literature about these animals.
