- Abstract
The article discusses the importance of knowledge expansion and skill development for teachers to address the needs of the students. It gives a summary of lessons taken from surveys and evaluation reports of federally-funded Professional Development (PD) projects in Missouri. These lessons are summed up into seven principles of highly collaborative professional development. It gives professional learning and a chance for teachers to collaborate with their colleagues in improving their teaching strategies.
