The article discusses the precaution needed by science teachers in using feathers from live animals as teaching aids to children. Accordingly, teachers are advised to purchase sterilized feathers from a craft or school supply store instead of using found feathers which might contain avian flu. In the teaching process, children can classify birds on its characteristics such as color, shape, size and adaptation.
