- Abstract
The article focuses on the investigation of a problem using discrete Markov process, wherein an agent has to find an object that moves between two locations. It examines the effectiveness of three options that can be used by the agent at every period, which include searching right, searching left, and waiting. It cites that waiting can be effective because it could stimulate a favorable distribution of probability compared with the two locations.
