- Title
Reduced dermatology hospital bed numbers in Scotland: where do patients go?
- Authors
Dawe, R. S.
- Abstract
The article discusses the data from the National Health Service (NHS) in Scotland which shows reduction in dermatology hospitals beds. It mentions that reduction in the number of dermatology beds is not associated to the changes in the number of skin diseases admission. It explores the question on what happens to the patients who were admitted to dermatology wards where dermatology beds were not available, wherein it says that patients admitted were not appropriately taken care off.
