Whipp, Richard; Rosenfeld, Robert; Pettigrew, Andrew
- Abstract
The article explores the corporate culture in terms of strategic change and their connection with competitive performance. It examines the concept of competitiveness and its link to strategic change, as well as how corporate culture is a critical aspect of that link. It states that managerial actions that work to change an organization need to be pluralistic. It comments that there may be multiple cultures in an organization that may conflict with each other. It mentions that the ubiquity of corporate culture makes it vital to bring about strategic change, and translating the strategy into operational reality.
