- Abstract
As a key technology to achieve high reliability of broadband wireless communication, the performance of handover will seriously affect the driving safety and user experience. Since the traditional cellular cell is no longer suitable for high-speed railways, a system network architecture suitable for high-speed railway scenarios is constructed by using distributed antenna systems (DAS) and two-hop architecture. Aiming at the problem that frequent handover between remote antenna units (RAU) controlled by different central units (CU) in the architecture leads to low success rate, a fast trigger handover scheme was proposed under the condition of considering Co-channel interference and shadow fading. When the train moved from the current RAU to the RAU under the control of the adjacent CU, in order to shorten the time of the handover request and response and obtain a higher success rate, the handover preparation stage was triggered when the signal quality of the service RAU was the highest. When the handover request and the instruction of the access target RAU failed, the trigger probability of the overlapping area can be increased and the probability of failure during the handover process can be decreased by multiple retransmissions. The handover performance index can be compared with the traditional handover scheme. The results show that the network architecture has a high signal quality in the coverage range, and the proposed fast handover trigger scheme can significantly improve the handover trigger probability in the overlapping area compared with the traditional handover scheme. The results can ensure that the handover is completed with a lower probability of failure, and can provide reliable communication services.
