- Abstract
As with all living things, the first condition for survival in humans is nutrition. Accessible food is the most necessary element for them to continue their life cycle. The fact that access to food is typically easy today has brought many expectations. Therefore, it is imperative that food is produced, prepared, and sold in a way that meets human expectations positively. The primary purpose of this research is to determine the effect of food safety information on the intention of revisiting for domestic tourists who purchase services from SME food and beverage businesses. The universe of the research consists of 437 local tourists who visited Ankara in June-September 2019. A questionnaire was used as a data collection tool. As a result of the analysis, five dimensions were determined for the food safety information of domestic tourists: "cross-contamination, hygiene, personal hygiene, cleanliness, and personnel health." As a result of a simple linear regression analysis of the relationship between "the food safety information and the intention to visit again, it was determined that the food safety information positively affected the revisit intention." In addition, it was determined that "cross-contamination, personal hygiene, and personnel health," which are sub-dimensions of food safety information, also affect the intention to visit again.
