- Title
GERMINATION AND ESTABLISHMENT OF JUNCUS EFFUSUS L: II: THE INTERACTION EFFECTS OF MOISTURE AND COMPETITION.
- Authors
Lazenby, Alec
- Abstract
The article examines the effects of available moisture on the germination and early establishment of Juncus effusus, with and without other sown species. Tile drainage is one of the most effective ways of controlling many Juncus species. Two series of pot experiments have been conducted under different water conditions to evaluate the competition between Juncus seedlings and grass and clover. The seeds mixtures include Lolium perenne and Trifolium repens and Agrostis tenuis and Trifolium repens.
