- Abstract
The agroclimatic zoning is extraordinary in the information of the agricultural potential of a region where defines the time of planting, appropriate crop cultivation in the region and identifies areas with higher agricultural potential for crop yield. This study aimed to characterize the climate and make the agroclimatic zoning for tens cultures pointing its possible ability cultivation for the city of Alhandra-PB. We used the time series of precipitation and average air temperature for carrying out the calculation of climatic water balance, climate classification, preparation of evapopluviograma and the agroclimatic zoning of crops. The annual water deficit was 322.1 mm, occurring water surplus in the months from April to August (673.8 mm). The aridity index, humidity and water were respectively 0.22; 21.63 and 0.32%. The climate is humid type sub-humid areas, megathermic, with little or no water deficit and 30.03% of annual potential evapotranspiration concentrated in the hottest quarter. The pineapple cultivation; upland cotton; cashews; beans, corn, castor and sisal showed full skills. The banana and cane sugar contacted a moderate fitness. The sorghum crop was restricted by presenting a high water excess, it is possible cultivation with the adoption of a soil drainage system in times occurring high water excess.
