- Abstract
An interview with Saint John Ambulance volunteer Hazel Mortimer about the treatment of injuries and illnesses at the 2010 London Marathon is presented. She describes her role to triage all patients who, after completing the marathon, could not walk or who requested treatment because of injury, exhaustion or collapse. She tackled the issue of pathophysiology. She praises the staff of Saint John, whom she says are highly trained doctors, nurses and paramedics. INSET: Summary.
