- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a one year old girl with a painless subcutaneous abscess caused by Bacillus Calmette–Guérin (BCG) osteomyelitis, a rare adverse effect of the BCG vaccine. It is noted that the patient lacked typical symptoms, leading to delayed diagnosis. It highlights the importance of considering BCG-related osteomyelitis in subcutaneous abscess cases, even in immunocompetent individuals, stressing the potential for permanent damage if not promptly treated.
