- Abstract
The article describes the case of a 10-year-old boy who was diagnosed with type 1 posterior urethral valves. There was neither a palpable abdominal mass nor lumbosacral abnormality on physical examination. Abdominal ultrasonography showed bladder wall thickening and bladder diverticulum without hydronephrosis. The patient was encouraged to undergo voiding cystourethrography that was performed using an 8 Fr urethral catheter.
